Christina Mancini, Ph.D., associate professor of Criminal Justice, will moderate a free webinar that will analyze the problem of sexual assault on college and university campuses on Thurs., Aug. 25, at 2 p.m.

The hour-long webinar, “Title IX and Challenges to Sexual Assault Prevention in the Ivory Tower,” is sponsored by Campus Safety magazine. Mancini, who’s published more than 30 studies on campus sexual assault, will explore the prevalence and trends of sexual assaults across the nation’s post-secondary institutions and discuss effective methods of measuring the true extent of campus sex crimes.

She will also look at the role schools have assumed in the problem through efforts to protect students, avoid media scrutiny and follow government legislation.

Clery Act and Title IX responsibilities will be analyzed along with approaches to evaluate current school policies, along with compliance best practices. A Q&A will follow Mancini’s presentation.
